Description of Amys role:

An independent directed by first time director, Chad Scheifele, Natural Selection explores a High School shooting. Amy plays Laura, the alcoholic, mess of mom, to Mason Dye’s character, Tyler Evans. Tyler, a shy high school transfer gets caught up in peer pressures and befriends a dark and troubled teen. Amy was thrilled to work with Katherine McNamara, Mason and Ryan Munzert as well as a teen movie idol of her, Anthony Michael Hall. Earlier, Amy shot a film with Judd Nelson, so she feels like she is slowly working her way through working with all The Breakfast Club cast.

Storyline:

Tyler is a young man who is desperately seeking direction from a world that seems to have abandoned him. Everyday at school he fights for survival, as he is easy prey amongst the endless hallways of fellow student predators. Searching for answers he looks to his friend Indrid who appears to have it all figured out. Tyler takes Indrid’s ideology and adopts it as his own. Not long after, Tyler sees the whole picture more clearly but is this new vision for the better? Or could it be more damaging than he could have ever imagined? Soon, Tyler finds himself in the middle of the storm and gets caught up in something he may not be able to change.
