“We’ve been performing lately in little New York dives.
Amy formed the alternative rock band ‘Porridge’ with her former Knox College roommate René Bouchard.
They have been jamming together again since 1996 and have appeared in clubs throughout the New York City area.
Amy played electric guitar and sings in the band. Their sound is “folkadelic“
Could music become an alternate career?
“It’s an alternate passion. Whenever you do things that creative, they feed other things that are creative”
“I’ve been involved with music my whole life” Amy said “My mom used to own a music store and taught piano. I played the piano when I was little, but playing guitar is really difficult.”
“I’m not that great as singer, but René is really good. I’m working on it, though”
